Most articles tell you that the easiest way to backup your data is to use recordable CD's or DVD's.  This is fine if you wish to archive your data off of your computer or system.  However, for backing up, this method means taking time out and following procedures.

If you don't have a great deal of data to backup then you could use a USB Memory Stick (Flash Drive) and simply drag 'n' drop your data onto the drive.  Or create a simply batch file (.bat) that you can just run when you want to backup.

Simply insert your USB Stick, double click on your desktop batch file, let your files backup automatically and when finish remove your USB Stick and you are backed up!

If you are familiar with batch files then why not download our example batch file and use a text editor like notepad to make changes to bespoke the batch file for you needs.
